FB Foodie Friday – Dinner for 4 Less than $1

This week I am been talking about side hustling for extra money and sometimes the side hustle may only pay as much as a beer, but maybe it has to be your meal as well. So, here is the cheapest dish that I can think of that is not completely in a box. For full disclosure, I typically like to share healthier meals as well, and the butter in this is certainly not healthy, but it is still better than most fast food items you could order.

Mimi Noodles

We call this dish in my home “Mimi Noodles” after my mom (her grandkids call her Mimi), because she frequently made this for us as kids and I always thought it was super yummy and had no idea that it was also super cheap. This dish only has four ingredients, pasta, butter, oregano and garlic salt. If you have the butter, oregano and garlic salt on-hand (which I advise that you do), then it costs less than a $1 to feed a family of four. If you don’t have all four ingredients, the total is $8.

Here is a link to the recipe. Enjoy!

She realized that the key to long-term personal financial success is a commitment to financial fitness and making smart financial choices.
