FB Foodie Friday – Slow Cooker Chicken and Couscous

This week I have been blogging about thrift shopping, and in case you have never done it, something you should know is that it is EXHAUSTING! So, I am sharing this recipe with you to make when you are out thrift shopping. You will be thankful when you come home and all you have to do is make couscous which takes 10 minutes or less. Here is the cost breakdown: (if you use the wine instead of the chicken broth, you could find a great bottle of inexpensive white wine for $7, which would add $5 to the meal cost, but then you would get to enjoy the rest of wine with dinner!)

  • Chicken – $7.39
  • Onion – $1.25
  • Garlic – $0.50
  • Chicken Broth – $2.79
  • Couscous – $1.99
  • Total = $13.92
