Frugal or Cheap – Happy Hour Session 3

Today is the third happy hour session I am hosting on the podcast and the continuation of our discussion of whether or not certain activities were frugal or cheap. This particular session got pretty wacky after discussing some of these practices. I hope you listen and enjoy!

2015-03-26 09.08.21

Melanie from Dear Debt – Bourbon Side Car

2015-03-26 09.08.29

Tonya from Budget and the Beach – Pacifico Beer

2015-03-26 09.08.25

Shannon – Deep Eddy’s Cranberry Vodka and Soda

Frugal or Cheap Scenarios We Discussed

  • Sharing a shower
  • Splitting a dinner bill within a group where split it down to individual items
  • Peeing in a bottle rather than flushing a toilet
  • Living in a home with no furniture
  • Not wearing underwear or socks
  • Enrolling in clinical trials

Do you do any of these things? Do you think they are frugal or cheap?

Shannon is a financial planner who left a “traditional” financial services firm to start her own company, The Financial Gym, because she felt traditional financial services firms did not have the tools or resources to help people in their 20s and 30s who are starting out and trying to build assets while also managing debt. She realized that the key to long-term personal financial success is a commitment to financial fitness and making smart financial choices.

Through her blog, Financially Blonde, her book, Train Your Way To Financial Fitness, her podcast, Martinis and Your Money and The Financial Gym, Shannon is committed to making financial fitness fun, easy and accessible for everyone.
